Denver Secures Crucial 3-1 Lead in Series
Nikola Jokic once again proved why he is one of the best players in the NBA, leading the Denver Nuggets to a 113-111 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers in Game 4 of their Western Conference semifinals series.
Jokic bullied his way into the lane and finished a difficult shot in the key late in the game, giving the Nuggets a 98-95 lead. He finished the night with a game-high 36 points, along with 11 rebounds and 6 assists.
The Nuggets never trailed in the game, but the Lakers kept it close throughout. LeBron James led the Lakers with 32 points, 12 rebounds, and 6 assists, while Anthony Davis added 25 points and 15 rebounds.
The Nuggets now hold a 3-1 lead in the series and can clinch a berth in the Western Conference finals with a victory in Game 5 on Tuesday night.
The Lakers, meanwhile, will need to win three straight games to advance to the next round. They will host the Nuggets in Game 5 at the Staples Center.
